Galo: Since 1993, when I first became a REALTOR®, I have seen my work as an opportunity to help people. From the beginning of my career, I did what needed to be done for my clients, not thinking about my next paycheck or how this was serving me. My priority has always been to serve my clients’ best interests.
Learning everything I could about the industry, I delved into topics most agents didn’t see the value in learning. In the early 2000’s I was helping with complex transactions like short sales and foreclosures. I wanted to be as prepared as I could to help anyone with any circumstance they faced. I pushed to teach classes at my brokerage on these topics, and at first, the classroom was pretty empty. However, as the 2008 market began to rear its ugly head, more and more agents started attending my classes—a sign of the changing market.
During this challenging market shift, I was able to continue doing what I love because I was prepared and ready to help. I faced my own financial difficulties, having to sell my rental properties as people couldn’t afford rent. It was a tough period for everyone, but amidst all the challenges, I was still able to help people and be that guiding light in dark times. Coming out of that period, I realized no matter what problems I face, as long as I have my family and the ability to serve others, I will be happy. That simple sentiment continues to be true to this day.
I've been married for 24 years to my incredible, supportive wife, and we have three daughters, Brooklyn, Kendall and Jayla. In my free time, I'm passionate about golfing, fishing, mountain biking, working out, and spending time with family.
Grace: My future seemed so clear—I was working toward my bachelor’s in human growth and development with a focus on high-risk youths. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and this was the perfect way to do it. However, as I was nearing completion of my studies, my teachers began warning me: for the first few years of my career, it would be very challenging and discouraging.
I shifted gears and moved to the mountains to fill my soul with snow. It was a drastic shift from my original plan, but I needed to embrace a different, more unconventional path. At some point, I began reflecting on the bad experience my mother had with a real estate agent while selling her home amid the 08’ recession. They weren’t as helpful as I had hoped, and most of the time, we felt left in the dark. Seeking educational stimulation while I wasn’t snowboarding, I decided to learn about real estate.
What began to pass the time in the mountains turned into a passionate pursuit. I fell in love with real estate, moved back to Denver and made it my life's work to help people through the buying and selling process. And here I am, over a decade later and still in love with it! Together, Galo and I are passionate about delivering the best services and ensuring our clients receive the education, guidance and support needed to be successful!
Today, I’m married to my wonderful and encouraging husband, Blaine. We have a beautifully blended family that is complete with the two coolest bonus kids I could have ever asked for, Eli and Averiella, and the sweetest dog, Molly. Away from my career, you’ll find me adventuring with my family, hanging up in the air doing aerial silks, on some kind of board (snowboard, surfboard or wakeboard) or maintaining my balance by volunteering with some of the awesome local organizations that work with high-risk youth!
Our entry into real estate mirrors our shared passion for serving others and finding opportunities amid challenges.
